Our vision at Heritage Public School is to empower student to acquire , demonstrate articulate, value knowledge and skills that will support them as life long learning to participate in and contribute to the global world and practice the core value of the school: respect , tolerance , inclusion and excellence

Goals and Objectives

Goal 1: Improve student learning and student performance for ALL students as measured by multiple and varied assessments.

OBJECTIVES:
  • Curriculum, instruction and assessments will exceed the expectations of National Council of Educational Research and Training , as well as prepare students for next generation assessments.
  • Students will understand the history and cultures of our country and other nations in order to be prepared to thrive in a diverse, evolving global society.
  • Students will become lifelong learners of health and wellness through participating in athletic activities that develop and encourage healthy decision making, appropriate social skills, and lifelong physical fitness in and outside of the educational setting.

Goal 2: Improve student life and school climate through school-based and community-wide programs and experiences that promote communication and engagement.

OBJECTIVES:
  • Schools will be clean, safe, and welcoming environments with an atmosphere of inclusion, acceptance and mutual respect, where students can develop emotionally, physically and intellectually.
  • Through collaboration, students, staff, families, and community will develop and nurture the overall well being of all students.
  • Students will be able to explore and develop their interests through a variety of curricular and co-curricular activities.
  • Students will be given multiple opportunities to develop individual life and career plans.
  • An emphasis will be placed on developing student and community relationships in order to promote personal growth, civic responsibility, and environmental awareness.

Goal 3: Improve student learning and preparation for the future through technology-enriched programs and experiences.

OBJECTIVES:
  • The heritage society will enhance technology-driven, interactive instructional practices to improve student learning.
  • Students will demonstrate a sound understanding of ethical, respectful, and responsible use of technology.
  • Students will utilize technology and employ creative thinking to develop innovative products.

Goal 4: Improve student learning by providing more opportunities for professional development for staff and parents and by annually assessing our progress.

OBJECTIVES:
  • Teachers will use reliable data and their understanding of students’ needs to design learning opportunities that motivate students to succeed beyond their expectations.
  • The school will expand opportunities to involve and inform parents and the community on curriculum, assessment, district, and school events.
  • Teachers will engage in meaningful and appropriate professional learning experiences aligned with the needs of the students, the school, and the society.
  • The heritage society will support staff-generated professional development topics and offer collaborative opportunities that address the varied needs and interests of all staff and students.
